Doll Scenes and Rooms

If you enjoy doll scenes as much as I do, you need to check out these on-line photo albums and websites of my friends. Let me know if you come across any other sites I should add here!

Our Dolls ~ The three Gothard sisters really know how to play with dolls! They even make stop-action videos with the dolls that you can buy.

Ellen's Big Doll House ~ A major inspiration for the Doll Mansion!

Bev Beese's Doll displays ~ Bev has wonderful scenes set up in her house. Her dolls are always doing something fun.

Mary's Doll House ~ Lovely details in this one

Window to the World of Pretend ~ Mary's kitchen that looks eerily familiar!

Meg's Doll Rooms ~ Room boxes for Felicity, Josefina and the Girls of Today. There are more pictures and even instructions on how to make the rooms here: American Girl Doll Rooms.

Meg's Doll Closet ~ This photo album is an inspiration for storage!

Sasha's Kitchen ~ Another fabulous kitchen!

My Dolls ~ By Jana. Includes a pretty living room and a great 40's kitchen, this one in teal.

Fashion Doll Doll House ~ Carmela Cappell's dollhouse for her 16" fashion dolls.

Girls at Heart ~ Great scenes, many outdoors!

Resources for Building Scenes

Victorian Doll Room Box Project ~ Scaled for slightly smaller dolls but easily adapted to 18" scale. An inexpensive room made with foamcore.

Paper Minis   ~ Ann Vanture's "printies" for accessorizing.

Jim's Printable Minis ~ More "printies". The biggest are in Barbie-scale ("playscale") but many, like the wallpaper, are very useful for 18" dolls.

Necessary Extras ~ Good source of accessories.

Joseirene Productions ~ Another great source of accessories.

Kathy's Kreations for Dolls ~ And yet another good source of accessories.

General Resources

Scenes-n-Things ~ A fantastic group at YahooGroups devoted to sharing advice and progress on 18" doll-scale rooms and scenes. There are many great pictures in the Photos link.

Society of American Girl Collectors ~ Ann Kirsten's great resource.

American Girl Fans Message Board ~ Very active and exciting forum on Hostboard.

Complete Guide to American Girl Doll Collecting ~ By Curt Danhauser. Very complete and well organized.

American Girl Collector's Guide ~ by Meg Villhauer. This one is also great and contains complete catalog description text for the items.
